About this ebook

Survival requires sacrifice.

The world irrevocably changed after the hellhounds and fey appeared. Most people didn’t survive that first night. Dad had said we were lucky we did. I’m not so sure about that anymore.

With her father murdered before her eyes and her faith in the remaining humans shaken, Brenna reluctantly accepts sanctuary in Tolerance, a safe zone managed by the fey. The wall keeps the infected out. But it also keeps the humans in…with the very creatures that caused the world to break.

Big, grey, and ruthlessly deadly, the fey strike fear in the hearts of men and women alike. But Brenna finds one more intimidating than all the rest. Scarred and angry, Thallirin watches Brenna with an intensity that makes her relive the events that followed her father’s murder. She knows what Thallirin wants, and she’s never going to be used like that again.

Tormented by her past, Brenna sees no possible future for herself other than eventual infection or starvation. There is hope, though. Her community is abuzz with a newly discovered way to protect women against the disease that’s turning people into zombies. However, it doesn’t come from a needle.

It comes from sleeping with one of the dark fey.

This book was an easy one-day-i-couldn't-put-it-down type of book. I think it would have been even better if I had read all the in between novels (i've missed 2 or 3 in the series) but it was still easy to read and I don't think that made me enjoy it less. I love a hard on the outside soft on the inside type of character. My reason for not leaving 5 stars is I didn't quite buy into Brenna's Tragic Back Story - not that the backstory was poorly developed because it was, but just because a lot of the healing was abbreviated for the novel. Brenna will still have a lot more in her future! I loved Thallirin though, nothing like quite and sulky to get me excited. I also loved that the romance was mostly controlled by Brenna. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I was looking forward to reading this book but the grammar mistakes and spelling errors are terrible, this book felt too rushed, first Brenna was conflicted, then confused, then suddenly a horny teen...

***spoilers*** I feel like iv waited a lifetime for this book to be released but boy was it worth it, I read it in a day !! literally...could not put it down. Every book in this series has kept me on the edge of my seat with heart stopping moments. I cannot put into words how enjoyable this series is to read, the characters are so easy to love. Im so glad brenna and thallirin got a happily ever after they are so alike in a way with what happened to them both. Im sad iv finished the book so fast didnt want it to end. Eagerly waiting for the next one. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
