About this ebook

A “deliciously funny” tale of three women in the London publishing industry and the secrets they share over drinks from the author of the Shopaholic novels (Kirkus Reviews).

Roxanne is glamorous, self-confident, and secretly involved with a married man. High achiever Maggie has found the one thing she can’t cope with: motherhood. And Candice is burdened with a nagging case of guilt. . . .

On the first of every month, they meet at London’s swankiest bar for an evening of cocktails and gossip. They chat about what’s new at the glossy fashion magazine where they work, their world travels, and everything else that’s going on in their lives. Or almost everything. Beneath the girl talk and the laughter, each of the three has a secret. And when a chance encounter at the cocktail bar sets in motion an extraordinary chain of events, each one will find their biggest secret revealed.

In Cocktails for Three, Madeleine Wickham—author of the New York Times–bestselling Shopaholic novels under the name Sophie Kinsella—combines her trademark humor with astute observation to create an edgy, romantic tale of secrets, strangers, and a splash of scandal.

“Entertaining . . . Wickham writes a witty tale that goes beyond mere gossip, fashion, and fun; she provides a wickedly insightful look at the choices women make between career, children, and relationships.” —Booklist
