Giới thiệu tác giả

Lakshmi Nageswar, born into a highly orthodox Brahmin family in Andhra on January 14, 1947, has dedicated her life to challenging the caste system and advocating for inter-caste alliances. Inspired by her high school teacher, Nageswar, known for his rationalist and humanist beliefs, Lakshmi married him in 1968, defying social conventions.

Beginning her government service in 1971, Lakshmi held positions such as Divisional Accounts Officer until her retirement as Joint Director of Accounts in 2005. Her marriage to Nageswar was blessed with happiness, and together they raised their children, who married into different castes, setting an example of progressive ideals.

Both Lakshmi and Nageswar actively participated in the A P Kulanirmulana Sangham, an organization focused on eliminating the caste system and supporting inter-married couples. Following Nageswar's demise in 1998, Lakshmi continued their joint mission for five decades, tirelessly advocating for social change.

Lakshmi also pursued her passion for writing, publishing five novels and numerous short stories in esteemed Telugu magazines like Vipula, Chatura, and Andhra Bhumi. She made significant contributions to literature, including the groundbreaking "A P Casteless Couples' Directory" (2015), the first of its kind in India, and the Telugu work "Varnantara vivaahaalu-Pratyaamnya samskruti" (Inter-marriages and Alternate culture). Additionally, she edited "Swarna Singidi," a commemorative souvenir released during the K N S Swarnootchavaalu celebrations.

Lakshmi Nageswar's journey is one of unwavering determination and a commitment to social transformation, inspiring readers and challenging societal norms through her writings and activism.
