About this ebook

After many happy years of marriage and raising a family, Brian and Kathleen suddenly find themselves a bit lost in life. Midwesterners who’ve never traveled, Kathleen decides that what she and Brian need is a vacation, and with the help of an enthusiastic travel agent she plans a trip to Ireland in search of her roots. In beautiful, quaint Lisdoonvarna, to the couple’s surprise, they find themselves in the midst of a joyous yearly gathering dedicated to celebrating the life and work of a late Irish poet, and they rediscover something much more important than evidence of long-dead ancestors: their love for each other and for life itself.

Ripoff. Nowhere did this say it was a short story. Should have known by the bargain price. Also, not readable on my Nook because it apparently requires PDF which is not provided with this purchase. Last 99 cents Google will get out of me. Hundreds of thousands of FREE books available at the B&N site which works both for my Nook and my PC with a free software download. Also, Google books can not be downloaded and read offline on either PC or Nook. They need to stick to being a poor quality search engine and not try to compete with the book professionals. Just ain't happening. Who would pay a buck to read a twenty page short story? Really?

This is a fun read for a lazy afternoon or weekend. I always enjoy Maeve Bi'nchy stories. I relate to the lives of her characters. I like how she writes. Really doesn't matter what Binchy writes I enjoy her writing. She is such a great story teller.

I know it's a short story, but I still wish it could've been longer. But I love anything Maeve Binchy wrote-- miss her, sooo much!
