About this eBook

A human thief with no magic thrown into a Mage’s war. What could possibly go wrong…

Aspen is a Norm. A human. Something that could get her killed—or worse—in this supernatural New York City.

She didn’t plan on becoming apprenticed to one of the most powerful Mages on the Council.

She really didn’t plan on taking part in a deadly magical competition against Isak, her handsome, aggravating, dangerous opponent.

Yet as much as Aspen hates it, something sinister is going down in the magical boroughs and she’ll have to work with both of them if she wants to uncover its source. She’s been the underdog her entire life, yet nothing’s prepared her for being this outmatched and outmagicked.

But she also might be the only thing standing between those she loves and an ancient evil trying to destroy them all.

Mage’s Apprentice is the first book in the completed YA fantasy Mage’s Apprentice series. If you like snarky, fast-paced fantasies full of magical underdogs, mystery, and a slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance, this series is for you!

What a talented writer!! Even though technically a YA series, there is no condescending, simple plot and oh so breathless teenage romance. The story is original, the characters well developed, and two of the major protagonists just happen to be teenagers. I just read two YA books (from different authors) that were virtually the same. Same basic plot, same insipid characters, and same basic outcomes. This book has restored my belief that there are some very talented people capable of writing YA books that even us "old " people enjoy. Keep 'em coming!

About the author

Sean Fletcher was born in the broiling, arid state some people lovingly refer to as Texas. He is the Amazon bestselling author of a number of YA fantasy series, in addition to other forthcoming books whose characters will not give him a moment's peace until they get their turn in the spotlight. When not making things up and putting them on paper, he can be found hiking, biking, or traveling, sometimes all at the same time.
