Miss Abigail's Beastly Beau: A Sweet Regency Romance

A charming beauty and the beast type romance, wherein Miss Abigail and her army of ragamuffins entice and draw the gruff privateer, Caleb Calhoun, out of his shell. Used to dealing with seamen and pirates, Caleb is no match for Abigail's sweet nature. Having already wormed her way into his heart, he is devastated when she is held at knife's edge by a crazed traitor, causing Caleb to risk his life for her. What he doesn't expect is for her to nurture and nurse him back to health or to bring her small army along with her to tend to his needs. Finding his heart melting, Caleb slowly gives in to the allure of Abigail's gentle heart. This novel is fairly short but is well written and I found myself rooting for Caleb as he tries to hide behind scowls and grunts to keep Abigail at bay. I really enjoyed the main characters in this book, the humour in the situations in which Caleb finds himself, and the romance which grows steadily between the main characters. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
