Makmur HM, Lahir di Pelalawan, Riau. Memulai menulis puisi sejak di bangku Tsanawiyah di Pesantren Al-Munawwarah Pekanbaru. Aktif menulis di berbagai media cetak dan online. Saat ini bekerja sebagai staf redaksi portal berita www.detakpekanbaru.com dan belajar di Jurusan KOmunikasi Universitas Abdurrab Pekanbaru.
