While I loved the story and how Mandy Roth brings her characters to life and I didn't care for Nina's self doubt, because for me, it didn't mesh with her strong character. Because the books I love come alive for me, things that would bother me in real life people, bother me in books. Aside from that, I loved the story. The writing was excellent as always and I couldn't put it down until it was done.

Third and standalone offering in Project exorcism is a battle to see who is the strongest? That seems to be the main battle between two strong shifters who want each other. Need each other. Refuse to give in to each other. After their battle is exacerbated by Nina's physical mating cycle demands and actual pain, she and Jordan are forced together during an assignment gone wrong. These two are closed up and self-protective. Is even the force of the mating call enough to break through? Competition, family loyalty, evil enemies and love all play a part in the overall compelling story. This may be a short one but doesn't lack a thing--except it ends and I for one want more stories about this group of people.
