The Essential Guide to Everyday Angels

Incorporating Everyday Angels into Your Life Are you familiar with the concept of everyday angels? These are not named angels, like the archangels. Rather, they can be petitioned in general, like the angel of romance or the angel of careers. In this guide, the author provides associations, petitions, and affirmations for tens of these everyday angels. The author sets up the book describing how she integrates things like colors, chakras, gemstones, and essential oils into her work with everyday angels. Each angel section similarly lists these associations as well as a general description of the everyday angel, questions you may be contemplating in his or her area of expertise, supportive archangels, a sample petition, and sample affirmations. Before diving into all the everyday angels, the author provides a brief section on your guardian angel. At the back of the book, the author lists the archangels and what they are associated with. A quick look at the table of contents reveals that the everyday angels cover many potential topics from purely physical ones like fertility and sound sleep to emotional ones like grief or inner peace to emotions like envy to abstract ideas like loyalty and transformation to more mental aspects like discernment and intelligence to aspects of the more spiritual realm like divine intervention and universal love. I found the individual sections about each everyday angel to be fascinating reads. I thought that since most subtopics within each section read like a list—of colors, gemstones, essential oils, and even affirmations—they might have been easier to read as bulleted lists rather than written as a paragraph. I think, too, that there should have been appendices with lists of the gemstones and essential oils mentioned in each angel section. That way, if you have an interest in incorporating either, you could see what you have and what you might want to get. Apparently, the author sells a line of aromatherapy oil blends, and she includes an appendix of these relating to particular everyday angels. I thought this was a little self-serving and wondered at the appropriateness of it. All in all, though, I did find this to be a fascinating read about everyday angels and how we can incorporate them into our spiritual practice to improve our lives on multiple levels.
