About this ebook

In this sweet rhyming bedtime story, a daughter and her father go to visit the zoo. She’s excited to see all of the animals, but she gets distracted when a great big yawn starts to make its way around the zoo. The yawn travels from one animal to the next until everyone is yawning. The yawn makes its way to the little girl, who falls asleep as her father carries her out of the zoo.

About the author

Margaret and Eleanor's favorite outing was always a visit to the Toronto Zoo to see the animals. After a full day of walking from one enclosure to another, and not wanting to miss even one monkey or elephant they would leave exhausted.

The inspiration for The Great Big Yawn came from a bedtime story their father told them. These bedtime stories had one purpose, to get them to sleep. The Great Big Yawn was the most effective. Many of these stories their father told them, they repeated when they provided a babysitting service.

Margaret was born in Toronto and Eleanor in Newmarket, ON. They live in Aurora. Both have studied at the University of Guelph in the Bachelor of Commerce program, Margaret in Marketing Management and Eleanor in the Hospitality and Tourism program. They are active in various clubs and associations like the Guelph Women in Leadership and Hospitality and Tourism Management Students' Association.

Eleanor and Margaret volunteer on a regular basis in the Wee Kids program at their church. During the summers while off from school both girls have worked as the program director or camp directors position. They are very excited as this is their first book.
