It's rare these days to find a stand alone boom as everything is some trilogy or long drawn out series to slog through. But Sorcery of Thorns is a solid, stand alone story with a very satisfying and complete tale, a breath of fresh air. The world of Librarians tending to living books is creative and interesting. And I really enjoyed the relationship between the two leads, who were also charming and entertaining as their own people as well as lovely together. Finally, a handsome and charming male lead who isn't a jerk alpha male! I was delighted from beginning to end, and I recommend this book highly to anyone looking for a good, fun fantasy read that breaks out of the usual mold.

4.5 Rounded to 5 So anytime there is a book-within-a-book or library theme I'm ALL IN. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with this one but I really loved it. It has been sitting on my shelf for a while and if it wasn't for it being a buddy read it would probably still be there 🤣🤣 I absolutely LOVED the library setting with the books that are alive, in a sense, and can become darker and turn into monsters. I also loved Elisabeth and the journey she takes to figure out who is sabatoging the Great Libraries, which of course becomes something even more sinister and deadly than she expected. The romance with Nathaniel and Elisabeth is an added bonus as well as Silas'character. Loved it all! Definitely recommend for fantasy lovers, especially those who love fantasy but don't want another series because SUPER bonus .. this is a standalone!🤣🤣💗💗

Amazing story... But I felt like it could be better in some aspects like the reason why Elisabeth is so special is really not all that convincing or anything Wow! Personally my favorite part was Silas.... I mean the author couldn't have done any better in creating his character, it was exceptional!! Overall it was a nice read.
