Widow Virginia Cole has one plan - get her boarding house back into shape so she can support herself and her son.
When Will’s foot falls through the rotting boards on Virginia’s porch and he offers to fix the damage, he finds himself also falling for the widow and her grieving son in spite of his best efforts to stay detached.
Virginia, determined to never love again, is attracted to Will, even though he’s made it clear he’s leaving as soon as possible.
Can a woman who’s afraid to love and man who’s afraid of commitment overcome their fears to build a new family together?
Margery Scott is the author of more than thirty novels, novellas and short stories in various genres. She has always admired the men and women who settled the untamed land west of the Mississippi. Growing up, she was a fan of TV westerns like Maverick, Rawhide and Gunsmoke and stories about western characters such as Annie Oakley, Roy Rogers and Rin Tin Tin. It was only natural that when she started writing, she wrote what she'd always loved to watch and read.
Margery lives in Canada with her husband, and when she's not writing or traveling in search of the perfect setting for her next novel, you can usually find her wielding a pair of knitting needles or a pool cue. She loves to hear from her readers. Contact her at [email protected] and follow her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bookbub and Goodreads.
