This story reminds me of the old saying, “A bird and a fish can fall in love, but where will they live?” Colton and Lucy have been hot for each other ever since they first made eye contact. They’ve been hiding their secret rendezvous from friends and family for the past couple months. It’s only a “fling” and they don’t need their families interfering or making molehills into mountains…because Colton seems to be doing that for the both of them. This book is about Lucy and Colton’s trials and tribulations in making this seemingly impossible relationship work. I absolutely LOVE Marie Force! The Green Mountain series is by far the best contemporary romance series I’ve ever read. The characters are realistic, the plot is engaging and the dialogue is hilarious. There is so much love and comfort in these book that it’s hard not to fall in love with every single character. With this book, I had a love/hate relationship with Lucy. I never warmed up to her. I think it was Lucy’s defeatist attitude towards her and Colton’s relationship that didn’t endear her to me. I know her feelings were genuine, maybe a little too genuine for me. But, I could see a lot of myself in her too. She was easily relatable, despite her constant Debbie Downer attitude. Colton was a total dreamboat! He is this sexy, burly mountain man that chops wood and has an equally sexy brain to match his ripped body. What is it with these Abbott men? When they love, they love hard. Colton is completely head over heels for Lucy. His dedication and determination to make their relationship work never faltered. He was also amazing with Lucy’s family and her young niece. Colton is everything you want in a hero, not to mention being a super freak behind closed doors J I really enjoyed the story, especially Nolan and Hannah’s secondary storyline. They are easily my favorite couple. I loved the surprises and I fell in love with Nolan all over again. We also get to see more of Will and Cameron in the book. I love how their relationship has been developing and I’m looking forward to reading more about them. Lucy and Fred the town moose do have a memorable meeting, maybe not as memorable as Cameron’s but there’s never a dull moment when Fred is around. As the end of the book we are treated to a bonus story, LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS. This is the story of Will and Colton taking Cameron and Lucy on their first camping trip together. It’s full of laughter and a bunch of hilarious mishaps! And we also get a glimpse at the first chapter of Hunter and Megan’s book! I’m totally excited for their story and can’t wait for March 2015! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small town contemporary romances full of heart. You can’t go wrong with the Green Mountain series. ***I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book in 2014 in exchange for an honest review***

I have to confess that Marie Force is an author that has been growing on me for quite awhile. All her writing is different and always has its own special kind of flare to it. That's what I like about the Green Mountain series because she brings opposites together and despite the odds finds a way to make things work in a realistic way. I enjoy the opposites attract, against the odds, odd ball kind of story because its a story that brings hope to those that despite the dire circumstances of their life and the reasons why it can't work that just maybe your happy ending can find its way to you. I'd definitely suggest readers beginning with the first book because otherwise readers may find themselves being confused by certain details but other than that I Saw Her Standing There is a wonderful book.
