Many people who visit South Carolina to enjoy its coastal landscapes and picturesque beaches know Marion as a quaint, little town along their vacations journey. However, Marion is more than just a pleasant stopover for tourists and passersby; it is a destination in its own rightsa special, historic community that has enjoyed a long and interesting past.
