About this ebook

"Another wonderful Marissa Clarke book full of humor and swoon-worthy romance. Loved every minute!" - Kira Archer, USA Today bestselling author

Helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship’s time schedule is maxed out. Between his job, his huge, slobbering mess of a dog, and his matchmaking grandmother, he has no time for anyone or anything—especially a woman. If only there was a way to get Grams to back down...

The job of New York City dog walker suits Caitlin Ramos perfectly while she preps for her accounting exam. It’s work that’s steady, scheduled, and requires very little human interaction, which is exactly what she wants. That is until her hot, bossy client—whose Saint Bernard behaves like a lap dog—offers her one more job. But pretending they’re engaged to get his grandmother off his case? Down, boy.

Now Taylor’s offered Caitlin a bargain she can’t refuse. And for the next three days, Caitlin is his fiancée. All she has to do is fake a relationship with Mr. Bossy Pants in front of his entire family, survive their games, and not lose her heart to a guy who’s quickly becoming more than she’s bargained for.

4.5 stars — This one was so cute, and exactly the kind of romance I was needing for this winter day! I laughed a lot, and felt a lot, and really enjoyed both the main characters as well as the cast of friends and family backing them up. I probably warmed up to Caitlin a little more slowly than Taylor, only because she was holding on to so much pain, and doing exactly what her friend said: punishing herself for making a mistake. It was hard to see the aftermath of someone who had been beaten down and emotionally abused, someone afraid to trust their instincts. I loved watching her blossom, not only under Taylor’s attention, but the attention of his whole family. It was very gratifying. I loved that we saw these moments of strength, where you knew she was going to be okay if she could just get over that last hump. Taylor was such a different hero for me…and yet not. He was just so positive, and kind of carefree. And maybe a bit shortsighted on how to change his life so that relationships were possible….basically he was stuck in a rut and didn’t know it. I loved how happy and lighthearted he was…I loved his relationship with his family — it just made your heart swell. I loved that he was kind of lost and uncertain about these new feelings, but it didn’t mean he wasn’t going to pursue it. And they were so great together. I definitely felt their chemistry, both friendship and more. And as I said at the beginning — the secondary cast was definitely a huge part of my enjoyment of this book. Taylor’s family was hilarious and heartwarming. I loved the way they teased one another, but you could genuinely feel the love underneath. And Beauregard was such a sweet dog, I loved what he brought to the story. And I enjoyed the glimpses of Caitlin’s best friends, and even Taylor’s friendship with Will. So yeah. Just exactly what i was looking for — a sweet, lighthearted romance with just enough to tug on the heartstrings.

If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted book with some amazing characters look no further. This book is all that and a great relaxing read. It's cute, sexy, and as a bonus it has a big overgrown pooch that steals the story! It's a fake relationship story that is filled with humor including some laugh out loud moments as Taylor tries to pull a fast one over on his Grams. He introduces her to his fake fiance Caitlin. Actually Caitlin is his dog walker and not at all interested in a relationship. Plus Mr. BossyPants Taylor is so not her type! Caitlin is certain she'll be fine spending the weekend with Taylor and his family. So where did it all go so wrong....or right?? For a light relaxing read grab a copy of this one. I highly recommend it.

4.5 Stars I loved this book so much. I couldn't put it down. The characters gripped me into the story. It had great humor that had me laughing through the whole book. Taylor's family was a hoot. One of my favorite parts of the book. How can you not fall for a guy who treats his dog like the family he is. It's definitely swoon worthy material. I can't recommend this book enough because right from the beginning it had me hooked and it's a book you'll be sad to see end.
