About this ebook

Catalina was raised for him... Elliot Torres, the man who owns her.

One day after her eighteenth birthday, Torres will claim her, and the girl I grew up with will be gone forever. I’ve been given a job to do... teach Catalina what a man will expect from her, without taking from her the one thing Torres has paid for. Her innocence. But she’ll always be little Kitty-cat to me, the same child who followed me adoringly around the compound where we both grew up. The compound that she has never left. Until now. She calls me her Angel, but that’s far from the truth. By the end of the seven days we have left together, she’ll see me as the devil I truly am.

I hate cliffhangers. I really think they are a sign of a lazy author who can't be bothered to bring a story to a conclusion yet allow it to be compelling enough to entice the reader to take the next book in the series. Therefore, they take the story to some tense action and just stop. The saddest thing about this particular cliffhanger is that it was so freaking good. Fascinating plot, highly believable protagonists, tense adventure scenes, palpable danger. And the technical side is just as impressive-taut, descriptive writing, no mixed metaphors or wrong homophones, varied vocabulary to increase the tension and punctuation which keeps the story moving along. Except, Farrar can't write a credible ending; it's maddening. I routinely give a cliffhanger one star but she just did so many other things right that I increased it up to two. Just be aware that if you wish to read it, the ending will leave you unfulfilled.

This is a terrible story. I hated it from the beginning. How can you let ppl you supposedly love let suffer like this when you could help them out of this terrible situation. Unfortunately the story is quite true . There are men out there who do this to women on a daily bases. This is not tough love ,this is abuse! Couldn't finish the story. Shame on the author!
