My favorite book is ‘Fledgling’ Jason Steed, ‘Book 1’. It has been almost 18 months since I read that book and was hoping that ‘Revenge’ was going to be just as good. Yes, maybe faster, more action, but another original novel from Cooper. If you have read Fledgling you could easily see why Prince William named it has his favorite book. Revenge carries on the Jason Steed story, a gang of chinese people are running a large crime operation, they are called TRIADS, it’s a bit like Mafia. They have a large shipment of illegal substances coming into England, The police need to know some information but can’t get anyone on the inside. The Triad leader has a son in a boys prison ‘Juvie’ he is the link to the chain, they install 12 year old Jason Steed (Martial arts expert) to become his friend and get the info. He does, however his position is given away, he is hunted by the Triad and even after he is put in a safe house in Spain his location is given to the Triads, what follows is a race across europe. The story has some funny moments, Jason at one point is chased across a field by a spanish bull, he is shot at, beaten, and left for dead.

About the author

Mark A. Cooper was born in London and moved with his family to the U.S. in 2003. When his 12-year-old son’s grades improved after reading the Harry Potter series, Mark decided to encourage literacy with his own novel. He self-published Fledgling: Jason Steed and the novel has enjoyed huge success and a devoted following on the web.
