When it comes to teaching Jazz all of the books I have seen taught only traditional Jazz. I have been searching the WEB for books that taught smooth Jazz and could never find one, until now. The chord structures in this book sound great. They are just the sound I have wanted to learn. These chord structures seems to be the emphasis of the book. For a slow learner like me, I hope a lesson is published that focuses on melody development around these chord structures. Smooth jazz musicians should be happy that someone is teaching their style.
