I would check this book out from the archives at Eastern Ky University, to read then never could again ,it was lost so went to are town book store to buy it the said couldnt order it couldn't find it in their computer system, i want to own this Book,as part of my family's heritage and as i own very few mainly book about Kentucky, for they will remain to be passed down to my Great grandchildren, as soon as i can i will be now owning ghis book,. Maryjean Wall served as the turf writer for the Lexington Herald-Leader for twenty-five years. The author of How Kentucky Became Southern: A Tale of Outlaws, Horse Thieves, Gamblers, and Breeders, she holds a doctorate and is an instructor in the Department of History at the University of Kentucky.
