About this eBook

The first book in the action-packed trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Gordon Korman is perfect for fans of Stranger Things and James Patterson.

Eli Frieden has never left Serenity, New Mexico...why would he ever want to? Then one day, he bikes to the edge of the city limits and something so crazy and unexpected happens, it changes everything.

Eli convinces his friends to help him investigate further, and soon it becomes clear that nothing is as it seems in Serenity. The clues mount to reveal a shocking discovery, connecting their ideal crime-free community to some of the greatest criminal masterminds ever known.

The kids realize they can trust no one—least of all their own parents.

When Eli fainted at the beginning, I couldn't see how it was such a big deal. The word choice and how it was described was so...watered down. I felt as if I was reading a blank piece of paper. I almost laughed at how dramatic the scene was because the author described it so plainly. I like Gordon Korman's writing style, but the word choice in this book is bland. But, I do appreciate how the mysteries drive you to the edge of your seat. Definitely a page turner.

This book is one of the best I've read. It takes you in from the first couple chapters and hooks you until the end. I've read this book many times and when I read it again, I notice little details I didn't catch my first time through. It's stuff like that makes it enjoyable for me. The characters are well written and the twist was pretty good. Highly Recomend to anyone who wants a good read.

MasterMINDS is a masterPIECE. It scares me down to my airsack, and makes me release a laugh from my airsack. If you haven't read it then hop online or go to the library and rent this out.(They should totally make a movie out of this!) Mr. Korman is a magician and a great author!
