This book on mathematical modeling of biological processes includes a wide selection of biological topics that demonstrate the power of mathematics and computational codes in setting up biological processes with a rigorous and predictive framework. Anver Friedman is a Distinguished University Professor. He received his PH.D. degree in 1956 from the Hebrew University. His research interests include partial differential equations, both general mathematical theory as well as applications to models that arise in the physical and life sciences, in engineering, and in industry.
Chiu-Yen Kao is an Associate Professor at Claremont McKenna College. Her area of expertise is in applied mathematics.
