This book, based on reports and case studies collected by the Council of Europe as part of its five year project Innovation in Primary Education in Europe remedies this providing an essential resource in the area. Divided into six sections, each contributed to by member state of the Council of Europe, this book covers topics including organisation policy and practice, professionalism in primary school teachers and innovation in primary education.
