A fantastic start to a new series Lily is doing the best to keep her head down and appear normal 🙄 easier said than done She's always been the odd duck A little different - A little more She just wants to blend Roth is on a quest to find the missing heir. As an old immortal, and right hand to Lucifer he approaches everything methodically. He is about to have his simple life flipped around into complete chaos Ash has a job to do - seek out the scent and report has findings back to his employer. Easy. Until a dark haired beauty calls to his beast. Figures she's the enemy Raven is rebelling. Life is meant to be lived. Savored. Enjoyed. This rag tag bunch of heroes had me laughing, crying, cheering and releasing the occasional "OMG" A fantastic first in series packed with action, adventure, suspense, frictional romance ( you'll see) and just a touch of mystery

Super big fan of Erin Bedford and quickly snatched this up when it was available. Lily is a fun character to follow through her journey and Roth is so tortured. I mean within the first few chapters a bird poops on his head! Ash and Raven are great supporting characters and as this is titled #1 in a series I hope in Bedford fashion Ash and Raven both make more appearances and are more developed. The plot is a standard girl doesn't know who her parents are and turns out to be special although she knows she has some special talents and people of her coven are scared of her but she doesn't know about the "real world". But Bedford and May's writing just takes the plot you know and makes it new and exciting. Highly recommend and cannot wait for more!

What a great start to a series that I need to see through. The mystery and suspense keep you on edge, especially because we don't get a lot of answers as to what is going on, but we can feel the tension. It kept me glued and unable to blink. The development with the characters is amazing and I found myself invested in knowing what was going on. Now I am on edge waiting for the next one.
