I had some qualms when starting this book because terrible heroes can be great when done well, but can also go sideways so easily. I'm happy to report this hero is the former. My reaction went from "ugh, he's infuriating" and "at least he's trying to make amends" to "ugh, he's the best". There are some descriptions that I find absolutist, and I'm uncomfortable with those, but otherwise this is a fun, quick read that stays PG until the last few pages (🔥🔥🔥🔥 open door), despite the book title. Not a bad read. May be considered too short for some readers but if you're looking for a quick read that's entertaining and festive in the theme of Christmas, settle in. If you're interested in joining the newsletter for further information on Bennett and Piper the link provided near the end of the book is no longer accessible. There is though, an even shorter continuation in Off the Naughty List.

I really did not like Ben a majority of this book, he was rude and mean to Piper. once he gets past being rude it's cute. I think the ending was too short, think it could have been longer. they finally got together and that's it, end of book
