This was an emotional story that left me sad for most of the whole book, until the very end. Christina and her husband Dare are not happy and haven't been for years. When she finally leaves, things start to change. I wish that Dare would have been more honest and shared growing up with Christina so that she could have been there for him. Communication is very important in marriage and any relationship takes work and commitment in order to succeed. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The bonus story was better than the actual story. The resolution for the main characters happened in 2 paragraphs after several chapters of angst.

Oh, queue the angst and pain, and fretting over how this beautiful couple will ever work this out!?!?! Right in the heart, right from the start. Lots of baggage and lack of communication to work through, and all the self-reflection that comes with that. By the end though, they are so much better, plus, him saying “I will come after you 100% of the times you leave me”, that was just perfection <3
