I really enjoy these Monroe books! The characters are flawed but human. The story line is interesting and the setting is fun! This book is a little bit different than all the others as it doesn't totally take place in Second Chance, Idaho. Much of it is "on the road" as Olivia Monroe and Rhett Diaz, plus Sonny (the sports psychologist who is helping Olivia) go on a road trip to try out different "extreme" adventures to see if Rhett will want to see up his own adventure tour business back in Idaho. Olivia has been trying to get her mojo back after nearly drowning while captaining her racing yacht. Rhett is going to push her to try these adventures and see if that will help her. They've convinced her family that they are in a relationship but it's really fake dating.....or is it? My favorite part? The baby goats! Put baby goats in a book and I'm totally reading it!!! Also, I really connected with Rhett! I thought he was long-suffering and so sweet! He had to put up with a lot on this cross-country trip! I really liked his character. Sonny is a hoot and Olivia had to dig deep to find her true self again. A somewhat different story this time but I liked it!

I can't get enough of The Mountain Monroe books. They are all so good. This story takes place on a trip after Olivia Monroe and Rhett Diaz begin a "fake" relationship. A boating accident left Olivia nearly drowned and her confidence lost. Her family suggests that she and Rhett take a trip together. And as the trip continues, there are adventures galore, some that I was glad I was "reading" about and not actually participating in! It's a sweet romance with lots of activities that will keep your attention. The characters were believable and lovable at the same time. You can see their connection, despite the fact that they are very different types of people, with different interests and Rhett hopes that by the activities that this will help her get back her confidence. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to book 11!! Can't wait. I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
