I enjoyed Max and Emerson's second chance at love. It is a very good hockey romance that was fun to read. This is the second story about the Storm Brothers (Liam, Hunter, Jared and Max). The hockey playing brothers had a rough childhood and upbringing. This one is about childhood friends that almost became more but he left. Fate or a flying hockey puck bring these two back together for a slow burn second chance. I enjoyed every bit of their story.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review. In this book we meet Emerson "Emmy" River & Max Storm. Emerson is a photographic journalist and she is at the game to take pictures and write a story not become the story. When Max makes a shot that should have been in the net but is defected Emerson finds it as it hits her right in the forehead. Max can't believe the one person who he connected with more than any other person that his family is at his game. Now if only he can get his life together so there second chance meeting can maybe turn into more of a second chance. Can these two find a HEA or will it just be that one night on the ice for them? Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Book 2 in the Storm Brothers. This is the second book in the Storm Brothers series but it does work as a standalone. The Storms are four hockey star brothers. Their mother died when they were young and their father was killed when they were teens. They've banded together and built a wall to protect themselves. (Hunter was book 1 and definitely worth a read). This is Max's story. He has more to deal with than the others because of a secret he's kept since he was ten. Only one other person knows the secret and that's the girl that was his best friend. Emmy. Now in a twist of fate, Emmy is back in his life. This is their story and how they overcome the past and find their way to each other. Emmy is the perfect match for Max and she's the only one who can break through his walls, if he'll let her.
