This story was everything. Our hero, Beau, has had a hard life but was able to become successful in the end. Then our heroine, Hannah, who had a wonderful childhood but experienced a traumatic experience (that lasted three years) and had to learn to trust again. This story was heartbreaking for what each character experienced in life but their love and trust for each other made up for the pain. I just loved Beau and how he helped Hannah become stronger and capable.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. There are a couple of TW’s but they are all off page and are necessary to the development of the story. Hannah and her infant son are running away from a horrible situation. Beau finds her and offers her security and a place to stay and eat. Both have dark pasts but are trying to work through it in their own way. Beau does his best to help Hannah since her trauma is somewhat ongoing. I love how this author drew these characters. Th
