About this ebook

Praying for a happy ending, friends and family stood by Laci's grieving husband Scott. Four months later, Laci's decomposed body was found in the murky waters of San Francisco Bay. The body of her child had washed ashore about a mile away, after a possible "coffin birth." It was a sad closure to an exhaustive search, and a grim end to a marriage that by all accounts had appeared to be perfect.

Scott Peterson's behavior had cast a mysterious shadow over the death of his pregnant wife: his alibi on the day of the disappearance was questionable; he admitted to an affair with another woman; and when he was finally charged with capital murder, he had altered his appearance. Almost immediately, the media condemned Scott, even though he maintains his innocence. Is Scott Peterson a victim of circumstantial evidence? Despite the state attorney general's claim of a "slam dunk", the case that has gripped the nation is much more complex, and is yielding even more questions, doubts, accusations, and shocking revelations.

I didn't find this book very good. It's written on a 3rd grade level and is nothing more than a regurgitation of Sharon Rocha's book, "For Laci," which is a MUCH better read than this. I also found some facts in this book that conflicted with what her mother and friends have written or said about Laci and the situation/circumstances. I wouldn't buy it.

The author of this book is pro-Peterson, and stating that Scott Peterson was grieving over Laci's disappearance is a LIE!! Scott Peterson buys a boat 3 weeks before Laci's disappearance, and on that very day she disappeared, Scott went "fishing" in the San Francisco Bay. Almost 4 months later the partial body of Laci and her unborn son both wash up on shore, IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY! This author states that a day after Laci disappeared, Scott phoned his mother sobbing and blabbering, that the only word she heard him say was "Laci." When Scott Peterson phoned his mistress, Amber Frey, on New Year's, only 1 week after Laci went missing, Scott wasn't blabbering or sobbing to Amber about Laci. Quite the opposite. Amber knew nothing about Laci being married to Scott. He called her from Modesto on the night a vigil was being held for Laci, telling Amber he was in France celebrating the New Year. Scott murdered his wife and unborn son and no POS author will ever make me believe otherwise.

I live down the street from The Peterson house. Even though they painted it a different color it just feels like sadness.
