Having read "There's something I've been dying to tell you' which was written with real pathos and humour, I wanted to find out more about Lynda. I saw this book for only £1.99 as a special deal on a different website, and thought for that price I would give it a go. I wish, I hadn't, because even that amount is too much for this book. For some reason, the whole book is written in an almost faux 'mockney' style with Michael spending much of the initial part of the book defending his past, bigging himself up in terms of his numerous business ventures (most of which failed) and talking about being "as honest as my old dad". Well if you were that honest.... surely you would've told you "lady friend" that the relationship was over as soon as he had slept with Linda and realised he had fallen in love. BUT, I digress. There is no pathos and humour in this book - it drags and is written with no great style or panache. Did I find out more about Linda? No, apart from Michael should have left the book writing to her. Controversially, to me the whole book felt and sounded, not like a tribute to Lynda, but more like a way to make money.
