Readers familiar with Pillow’s Dragon Lord books will feel right at home in the Space Lord books—a spinoff series set in the Qurilixen universe. His Fire Maiden is book two in the series, and will definitely be easier to understand – at least in the beginning – if you have read the first book in the series previously. If you haven’t had the pleasure, you can certainly muddle through, but it wouldn’t be the best way to experience the tale. The story has Pillow’s usual strong, sympathetic characters, irresistible romance, comprehensive world-building and sheer rollicking storytelling. Readers will find themselves swept along on Dev and Violet’s journey, with some sweet touches along the way. There are some early-in-the-story time jumps and disconnects that might seem confusing, but these scenes are quite necessary for the set-up of the story – both a furtherance in the overall story the Space Lords trilogy delves into, as well as the very personal and intimate relationship that develops between our hero and heroine. Despite involving unspeakably cruel and heartless events in the characters’ history, His Fire Maiden focuses nicely on the romantic elements of the story, leaving the reader satisfied emotionally while still curious about the Space Lords world and intrigued by all the heroes who will have stories. I was slowed down by the set-up of the story, but ultimately quite enjoyed His Fire Maiden, and will definitely be reading the other books in the series! Michelle has done it again she's gone and delivered another great story from the Dragon Lord's. This is Dev's story and he like the rest of he's remaining crew were cursed by and Ancient ghost ,that they will find love with in the five element but if they don't recognize it when it presents itself they will be forever alone. There was a problem with this Dev believes he will never find love because of who and what he was is, he is never meant to be loved. Violette had made her father a promise that when the time's a woman named Josselyn will come him and Violette is do nothing to stop her actions. Violette's father dies at the hands of Josselyn due to so many wrongs dealt to her and he people because of Violette's father Jack many many years ago. They also find out they are have sister's via the same mother. But Violette's plan is to find and kill Josselyn just as she killed he father, she had to she swore a blood oath. Dev and Violette paths cross and an instant attraction is felt. Their journey will be fill with passion and a few bumps along the way. Both hide their true feeling and one fears that if they don't do what is right they might lose family, friends and maybe their horner. Will Dev an Voilette survive their true feeling or will they pick the in doing what they know is right and maybe losing their chance at true love.

This intriguing book 2 in A Qurilixen World Novel; Space Lords Book Series was a steamy, standalone full-length, Alien Romance with a sexy, rugged and irresistible alpha male and his Mate. This very well written book has amazing and wonderful characters who are very well crafted with unique personalities. This has an entertaining storyline with good depth and interesting and detailed world construction. This one takes up where book one leaves off. a must read I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
