"Microbial Alchemy" offers an interdisciplinary exploration of microorganisms, their chemical properties, and their ability to transform substances through metabolic processes and synthesize them into bioproducts of commercial value and sustainable application. The book opens with an introduction to microbial alchemy. It considers specific metabolites, pathways, enzymes, drugs, or microbial genes and analysis of the chemistry produced by microbes that influence on eco-enterprising strategies and explores the bioprospecting of an array of microbial metabolic products and their applications in healthcare, nutrition, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and industrial development.• Provides a comprehensive understanding of microbial alchemy, the metabolic process of direct biogenesis or microbial influenced genesis of materials, and their application in diverse fields.• Delves into the underlying chemistry of chemical properties of microbial metabolism and the process to develop them into an array of sustainable microbial products.• Offers insights into the upstream steps like screening and isolation of industrial microorganisms to downstream processing for product purification and quality enhancement.
