Skottie Young e Jorge Corona ci portano al finale di Middlewest, con il destino di Abel, ma anche di molte delle persone che ha incontrato lungo il suo cammino. Il finale di questa storia è allo stesso tempo doloroso e carico di speranza, consapevole che guarire del tutto da certi traumi è impossibile, ma disposto a credere che una strada per convivere con il proprio dolore sia possibile. Ai disegni, Corona si sbizzarrisce con una regia che esalta il suo stile allo stesso tempo cartoonesco e dettagliatissimo, rendendo potentissima l’intensità emotiva di questo volume conclusivo. Una storia di crescita interiore come non ne leggevamo da tempo.
