I understand college level reading material but would you be alright if this book was in your child's public school system in the 6th through 8th and high school 9th through 12th grade and it should have a rated R content for adults because of the explicit material it contains! ( I wasn't even gonna rate it but had to let my voice be heard).

I'm pleasantly surprised. Such a young woman with an understanding of feminism and self well beyond her years, as well as beyond where most of us are now. Her words allow me to express everything I've ever felt inside that I've been unable to speak accurately. I found both commiseration and fresh perspective on many life subjects and the experiences she shared. This collection shows that less words can be more, that not all poetry needs tedious complexity to resonate as beautiful. Clean. Breezy. True.

milk and honey is a beautiful book of poetry about overcoming those moments in life that have the power to destroy us and also living in the moments where we are with the one with love, even if that person is our own self. There are also poems about living life as a woman in today's society. Some of the poems are just a few words and others are little longer. But all of the poems resonate will resonate with you and give you something to think about.
