I did enjoy this, but I felt there were too many things that were clearly only there as plot devices. Overall, a pleasant read but not one of my favourites by Milly Johnson. I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

5 stars are never enough for a Milly Johnson book. It is always the best day of the year when she releases a new one. I was a very lucky lady yesterday as my Daughter got me a signed copy when Milly was at Meadowhall and I've devoured it already. Absolutely brilliant book with the usual loveable characters (and rogues) excellent storyline and yay!! Daily Trumpet errors are back! I'm not going to give you a rundown you'll have to read it for yourself. What are you waiting for... go on, gift yourself the best Sunday of the year 😁 Thank you, Milly, you ROCK ❤

A really lovely feeling story about someone who deserved so much more than she was getting in life and, due to a set of not great circumstances, comes out the other side so much happier with a completely different life by the seaside. Highly recommended!
