Her Empath is technically the prologue to the Zodiac Cyborgs series and neither main lead is a cyborg. Not a knock, by any means, just pointing it out. It's written in third person omniscient from both leads point of view. Though both are technically human, they're still significantly different as well. Lyssa is a half Talatian (a decedent race of a human colony whose DNA has changed drastically to be something akin to lizard people) marine who runs a warship and has a reputation for being a wildcard. To try to bring her more under their control, the upper leadership assigns her and Empath (another somewhat subspecies of human who are, obviously, empaths) to literally control her. Since this is a romance, I'm sure you can surmise how this story goes. It's a quick read full of romance, rough steam, action, and an introduction into this new universe. The missing star is because I was left with some head-scratch moments that never really got resolved and that frustrates me a bit. Since the rest of the series is about cyborgs, I highly doubt there will be answers. Other than that, a very enjoyable, quick little read in classic Mina fashion.

Oh my God! I am inlove with this book.. From start to finish I didn't put it down.. although it is quite short for me.. wish it didn't end and I do hope it has a sequel.. loved it so much..

Love how it says 152 pages but downloads as only 96 on my phone LOL... WHY?
