About this eBook

Remington Kennedy was out of “bless your hearts” to give. She moved north for a chance at something better. Her compass to success was getting an education and getting out of Tornado Alley. A need to work led her to Easton’s Pub. A desire to fit in drove her into the arms of the local football star filled with hopes, and dreams. A year later, she found herself with a baby on the way, more lost than ever, alone, and terrified.

Book seven in the Love By Design series of contemporary romantic comedies.

Mine To Keep is written to be read as a standalone, but many readers prefer to read the series in order.

Love Under Construction (1)

Unlovely Things (2)

Heartburn (3)

Tailwind (4)

Love Actually (5)

Mission For Love (6)

Mine To Keep (7)

Love On Tap (8)

Evan Rooney was nobody’s hero. As a good cop in a small town, he felt the daily weight of responsibility. Known as the preacher’s son, he struggled to keep his faith…but secrets had a way of finding the surface and Evan found himself drawn to the red-headed barmaid with a bun in the oven like a moth to its flame.

Both needed a little saving…both needed love, and a baby needed a family made of more than just DNA.

Evan and Remi are sweet and I loved how they're both struggling in their own way but find themselves pulled towards each other. Evan is just swoony with his need to protect and take care of Remi, even when she is carrying someone else's child. There are roadblocks in the way but I loved getting to see their journey.

I enjoyed this new story by MC Cerny. It's a good addition to the "Love By Design" stories. This is a charming, quirky, fun and emotional read with an interesting plot. It's a good story that is nicely developed and interesting. Remi and Evan are perfect for each other. Let's forget all about the football trash and sperm donor, Ryder. He needed to be taken out with the trash. I really enjoyed this story and Evan was so wonderful and perfect for Remi. What a story!

This was a very sweet, slow-burn romance. I kind of feel like I’ve been waiting for Evan’s story for forever. When we first met him, I can’t say I was expecting Remi to be the answer to his happy ever after, but now that I’ve see them together, it makes sense. Neither one believes in true or lasting love, yet there’s a feeling of love-at-first-sight going on with them. They’re also both dealing with a bunch of unresolved family drama. This is one place I would have loved to have a bit more context. We learn some about Evan’s dysfunctional home life, but next to nothing about what brought Remi to land here. Additionally, I wanted to know where the situation with Evan’s parents went. That plot thread wasn’t tied off to my satisfaction. There were some continuity errors that threw me off a little, but since what I read was and advanced copy of this book, I’m hoping they will have been corrected before publication. Knowing that Andy’s is the next book in the series makes me absolutely desperate to get my hands on it. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
