Monster Tamer

This review I'm going to write as I read it. At beginning Japanese teenager boys really suck at any relationships! Literally f@#$s girl all night and ignores her next morning yet girl still loves him as nothing is wrong! Really a cold shoulder treatment in morning is going to lead back to doghouse so why go there? So either put doghouse trip in or let him be loving and endearing in the morning? 3 stars so far... Kanecki needs a nickname if he is really a friend. Also author keeps saying that he can't tell anyone his secret cheat and that may be true with people from the new world but his friend really? We are starting second book in fort already playing it this slow makes MC seem dumb like learning disabled so. These critiques apply for all 4 books so far too.

There is one thing about this particular volume I enjoy more so than the other previous volumes.There were quite a few twists that I thought I predicted thoroughly and those predictions ended up being flipped completely. As for the MC, I like how his trauma doesn't change the core of who he is. He's just a kid, and he hates and distrusts others of his species due to his experiences, but he doesn't let that control his actions completely. He knows humans aren't black and white, but a range of greys, they aren't all the same. He's clearly working through his trauma, but it's still there, as it likely will be for a long time. That's what I love about this MC.
