A great introduction to Miss Fisher. Not very different from the TV series. Some TV adaptations are totally different from the books not so here. Mostly minor differences like the inspector not having a big role but a great book to read.

So well written and descriptive. A joy to read, no dull bits just exciting and lots of atmosphere. I'll be buying more.

Kerry Greenwood is the author of more than forty novels and six non-fiction titles, and the editor of two collections. Phryne Fisher is her most successful series to date - there are currently 18 in the series. She lives in Australia with a registered wizard.
