I really hate leaving bad reviews but I'm struggling to find anything positade a promise to myself that I would always be honest, so here goes. I think this book started badly as I just couldn't gel with the narrator. I found her voice flat and boring, so I struggled to get into the book from the beginning. Sadly, my opinion didn't improve any as we made our way through the story either. ive to say about this book. When I decided I was ready to share my reviews publicly.

I've read several books written by Carly Winter; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the fourth book in the Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mysteries Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Sam & Annabelle working together to solve the murder of Mrs. Claus and save the Christmas festival. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

The happiest time of year just got sad in Heywood, Arizona. Mrs. Claus has been murdered right before the town festival. Add to that all of the towns police seem to have come down with a flu. That leaves it up to our favorite sleuths Sam and Annabelle to once again save the day and solve the mystery. A small town with a whole lot of people with things to hide. This story is full of love, laughter, tears, friends, enemies and a whole lot of secrets.
