About this eBook

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jane Porter kicks off her brand new cowboy series with a modern twist on an old-fashioned way of finding a wife.

After the only woman Joe Wyatt ever loved marries another, the Montana rancher swears off romance. He's done playing the game. Only problem? He needs a wife, and kids he can pass the Paradise Valley cattle ranch to. So Joe takes the same no-nonsense approach to marriage as he does to running his family’s business...he places an online ad for a mail-order bride. The ad is a lot like Joe, straight-forward and to-the-point: Wife Wanted.

When Sophie Correia is left at the altar after her groom runs off with her maid of honor, she wants to get as far away from California and her dairy farming family as possible. Sophie doesn't need hearts and flowers, but she's fed up with men who can't commit. And at thirty, she's more than ready to start a family. When she comes across Joe's ad, she thinks she's found the perfect solution -- head to Montana, get married, and move forward.

Can a contract for marriage lead to love, or will the arrangement cost them their hearts?

The odds against Briar Phillips when she finally meets her brother Cade. He is not very warm to her and leaves her tremendously disappointed. Having nowhere to go and pregnant, she tries her brother again hoping to really connect. on the ranch where Cade works, she finds a temporary home and the handsome Jet. Things unfold with Jet and ranch owner Mrs. Warren but Briar has to be honest to everyone. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the first book of the Wyatt brothers series, and also the first book I read by this author. This modern day “Mail Order WIfe” centers around Joe Wyatt and Sophie Correia who meet when Joe places online a “want ad” for a wife. Joe’s been hurt before in the matters of the heart, but since he wants a wife and children to leave a legacy to the future generation, he decides to forgo love and advertise for a wife. Sophie, whose heart was crushed and betrayed right before she was due to marry, answers the ad, leaving California for Montana. Neither is looking for love , but both want a spouse and children. But Sophie’s reception when she meets Summer, Joe’s mother, and his grandfather, was not what she had hoped for. Imagine if they found out the truth? Each with their own personal baggage attempt to overcome the obstacles unaware that fate has it’s own agenda. It was an entertaining story to be enjoyed in an afternoon of leisure. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Interesting take on the mail-order bride theme. Some parts were really enjoyable while a few places became mired in trite points that added little to the story as a whole. Would have liked to see a little more interaction with Sophie’s family or at least something about why no one was in communication with her while in Montana. There was plenty of family drama coming from Joe’s side of the family. This adds conflict to the story as the new couple try to work things out. Naturally, Joe and especially Sophie have plenty of baggage to unload an work through. Living on a ranch leaves little time for romance. This unfortunately left me wishing for more of that – after all “romance” is in the title. Overall a good book if you’re looking for a deeper storyline and a more intense relationship with the characters. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher in exchange for my volunteer review.
