The humor has its roots in tounge and cheek, as well as poking fun at common comic book tropes or cliches. The artwork has so much energy, with its whipping lines, and everything is so full of detail. Kamala is such a fleshed out character, with real fears, and hopes. She is also muslim, which is great for showing people that mulims are normal people too, and can be great heroes like anyone else. None of the women are overly and unnecessarily sexualized. Everyone is very relatable, even if they still fall into a comic book formula. Kamala and her family are just dealing with extraordinary situations the best way they know how. I cant wait for the next volume!
