It's always a good time when I get to go back to visit Alaska via Piper Rayne and the Greene family! Adam and Lucy were high school sweethearts who married young and seemed to have it all together. They were happy, they were in love and then all of a sudden Lucy dropped the bomb that she was no longer happy with the life she was living and she walked out on Adam. Fast-forward a year and Adam is just beginning to figure out how to live without the love of his life. He's got a new girlfriend, who he has just introduced to his family, and he's finally taking steps toward being happy again. That is until Lucy walks in and lays claim to her husband! While Lucy and Adam are still technically married, Adam is completely befuddled. He learns that after a fall, Lucy has developed amnesia and while she remembers people, she doesn't remember specifics or life events. In her mind she and Adam are still married and happy. Adam makes the decision to help Lucy as she searches for answers. Will these two that seemed so destined to be forever be able to overcome whatever made Lucy leave in the first place and her amnesia? I always enjoy Piper Rayne's books. They give you an escape and it's always so much fun to revisit the Greene family, along with Ethel and Dori! They are always good for a laugh or two! Looking forward to the next one in this series - Piper and Rayne have definitely set the stage for us!

Piper Rayne has delivered another swoony and heart melting romance in My Almost Ex. I absolutely loved Adam and Lucy and their special love story. The small town romance magic was on point and I always had a smile on my face!Piper Rayne maintains an excellent balance of swoony and steamy in their books. You will get the deep emotions and the witty moments equally in My Almost Ex. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

How am I suppose to write a review after THAT ending? OMG! I'm so excited for the next story! Piper Rayne has a way of setting up stories where you're eagerly awaiting the next installment. Anyways, on to Adam & Lucy... these two, Lord they had me so frustrated. They were high school sweethearts that were meant to be... until Lucy walked away. Now Lucy has amnesia and doesn't remember leaving Adam. Really, I don't blame her. Adam is a catch and he's so in love with Lucy but he's hurt. Hurt and confused. They decide to go on a mission to find out why Lucy left Adam months ago. This includes trying to remind her of their past. All this does is confuse feelings more and make it impossible to stay away from each other. Will Lucy remember why she walked out on him? Can Adam forgive and forget? Loved this story. There was so many emotions. There was fun and humor. Adam and Lucy had an insane amount of chemistry. They just seemed like one of those couples that would always be together. They need the closure to move forward. I received an early audio copy of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
