About this ebook

A sexy new brother's best friend romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

There are a few things you should know about my brother’s roommate.

Wolfie Cox is . . . complicated. And incredibly sexy. Unfortunately, he has an impressive stick lodged so far up his ass, he’s about as emotionally available as a chinchilla. Actually, that might be an insult to the chinchilla community.

So, naturally, I want to ride him like a bicycle.

He thinks I hate him. Mostly because I’ve led him to believe this. It’s easier than admitting the truth.

And while Wolfie is about as soft and cuddly as a fork, I’m the opposite. A good girl. Reliable. Conscientious. Oh, and completely panicked about an upcoming work conference.

Wolfie’s usually allergic to altruism, so when my brother convinces him to help me out by escorting me to said conference where everyone else will have a plus-one . . . I say thanks, but no thanks.

Surprisingly, Wolfie is unflinching about this. And that’s the story about how I got stuck in a hotel room with my brother’s hot (grouchy) roommate.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

In all seriousness, this isn’t a game to me, and hormones aside, I need to impress my boss this week so the promotion I’ve worked hard for doesn’t get handed to his worthless nephew. But with Wolfie and me sharing a hotel bed, things get confusing quickly.

This is book two in the Frisky Business series, but each book can be read as a complete standalone.

This book is definitely winning the best story of the series so far. Knowing Maren on book one was nice, but knowing her brother Wolfie on this book 2 was definitely above and beyond. We also have a strong independent wowan, Penelope, who happens to be Connor's sister, and Connor happens to be Wolfie's roommate. On the first book you get a glimpse about these two, like they could be something else at some point, but we do not have any details on it. Now after Wolfie ends up playing Penelope's fake boyfriend on a work event she ends up taking a step further and things between those two will heat on. But Penelope will discover that Wolfie is a complicated man, and by that I mean that he has some ghosts from the past acting on his present life. Ghosts that she would never imagine to face herself and that affect not only his relationship life but his sex life. Penelope wants to help, but it's Wolfie who needs to find a way to deal with his issues to keep any kind of relationship on his life. Maybe, Penelope is the inspiration he needed to finally face all those ghosts from his past.

Book 2 in the Frisky Business Series and this is Wolfie and Penelope’s story and their tale is a great addition to the series of stand-alone’s. Penelope needs a date for her company’s retreat, everyone is bringing their partners and she doesn’t want to be the odd one out but the last thing she expects is for her brother to offer up his roommate to escort her on the trip. Wolfie is complicated and isn’t looking for love so being Penelope’s plus one for the weekend should be easy right....wrong....turns out spending time together has these two realising they have hidden feelings for each other but crossing the line could ruin so many things. Will they take a chance and risk friendships, guess you need to read the book to find that out. This couple are perfect together, they compliment and complete each other, his weaknesses are her strengths and vice versa , the chemistry is sizzling and the banter is witty but it’s watching these two grow and they get to really know other that takes this book to another level. I loved everything about this book and I highly recommend it.

Wolfie is one of my favorite of all Kendall Ryan’s male characters. Something in his past prevents him from having a “normal” relationship. He doesn’t cuddle and he mostly only has one-night stands or “friends with benefits.” He was so used to people giving up on him. He felt he would hurt Penelope by getting involved with her. With his baggage he felt he wasn’t good enough for her. There were two sides to Wolfie. The closed off man and the caring sometimes smiling happy guy. Most people only saw the closed off one. Penelope somehow was one who saw both. She was someone who could possibly be the one to show him he was worth getting involved with. He never thought she would be attracted to him and he did everything to push her away. He felt guilty hurting her but he felt it was the only way to prevent any feelings from developing on both sides. What I loved about their relationship was the patience Penelope had with Wolfie. She was there for him, supported him and listened when they talked. It wasn’t only a physical attraction. She wanted to get to know the real him. Wolfie was able to let down his guard for her and show her the man he was capable of being. Sometimes it takes the right person to help you open your heart and let love in. That is who Penelope was to Wolfie. Sometimes you have to expect the unexpected. Thank you Kendall Ryan for creating a male character unlike all the others. Wolfie will always be my favorite.
