So happy I found this woman word artist. And she just earned her first 5 star from me (which only Ursula le Guin and Octavia Butler have gotten so far). Thank you N.K. Jemisin, for the wonderful book! Your best bookso far, me thinks. You opened my mind and heart a bit further towards all who seem 'other', in race or culture or ethnic background. And it's simply stunning how you weaves tales so imaginetive and surprising. Looking forward to the sequals. And I am happy you are still young and can share your art with us for many years to come!

Wow! What a fantastic book. So well written. Genre? Intersectional eldritch? Can't wait to read the rest of this trilogy.

About the author
N. K. Jemisin is the first author in history to win three consecutive Best Novel Hugo Awards, for her Broken Earth trilogy. She is a MacArthur 2020 Genius Grant Fellow. Her work has won the Nebula and Locus Awards, and the first book in her current Great Cities series, The City We Became, is a New York Times bestseller. Among other critical work, she was formerly the speculative book reviewer at the New York Times. In her spare time she's a gamer and gardener, responsible for saving the world from Ozymandias, her dangerously intelligent ginger cat, and his destructive sidekick Magpie.
