About this ebook

A cruel fate. Two souls condemned. An impossible love.

I knew he’d choose me before he came to our door on the night of the Tithing. I bore the mark that would make me his.

It was my ancestor who spoke the words that bound us together, and his demon-god who promised protection for the price of blood.

My blood.

I was prepared to be that sacrifice if it would keep my family safe.

Loving Azrael? The thought never crossed my mind. He was and would forever be my enemy.

He’s not the only monster coming for me, though, and somehow, it’s in Azrael’s arms I feel the safest.

But I need to be careful with him. I need to guard my heart because if I don’t, he is sure to destroy me.

The Penitent is the gripping conclusion to The Sacrifice Duet. I actually loved this second half of the duet even more than I did the first. It's intense and emotional right from the jump and I loved how the story progresses. We get to see Azrael and Willow spend time with each other and with Willow's family in a way we usually don't with The Society books, and I really enjoyed that here.

Willow and Azrael’s picks up and continues with this book. So, hang on because this breath stealing, pulse-racer is going to rock your world. The tension and suspense are sinfully thick, while the drama and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat and seasoning it all is plenty of heat and emotion. It is just plain stunning.

This is the conclusion to this duet and oh my gosh, it was electric! This is such a unique, intensely satisfying storyline with characters that captured my attention and then my heart. The conclusion, like the rest of the book, was extraordinary and satisfying.
