Storm of Light paints in letters the interval of time between the end of the interactive story Diablo 3 and its expansion set Reaper of Souls. It more fully fleshes out the conflict of the High Heavens, and the strivings of the humans/nephalem to survive against overwhelming threats to their existence. For the easily disgusted it seems filled with gore and violence but that may only be a guess other minds may think in unsame ways.

This book was alright, and it did a good job of bridging the gap between Diablo 3 and the Reaper of Souls. It dragged on in many parts and the final battle was unsatisfying. This book was mediocre at best and it lacked the spark of excitement that the Diablo: The Sin War series had.

The storyline was fantastic, I enjoyed it. However, I didn't like that the wording in many parts used modern day diction. This, in my opinion, just didn't suit the story or the characters. I was somewhat disappointed.

Nate Kenyon’s first novel, Bloodstone, was a Bram Stoker Award finalist and won the P&E Horror Novel of the Year award. His second, The Reach, also a Stoker Award finalist, received a starred review from Publishers Weekly and was recently optioned for film. The Bone Factory was called “masterful” by Booklist. His fourth, Sparrow Rock, was released in 2010 He is also the author of Diablo III: The Order and StarCraft: Ghost: Spectres (2011). He is a member of the Horror Writers Association and International Thriller Writers.
