This book, has a lot of insights into the mind of a person with dyslexia. There are activities you can complete with your child. Like making clay/playdough alphabet. Utilizing more visual learning paths. My only concern, is sometimes the author seems over confident. For example he mentions learning should be fun and it should be. The way this line and a few others are written it seems credit is being taken for inventing that learning should be fun. Great book, great resources.

This book gives the best description of what it feels like to live with dyslexia as a young person. I'm not sure that the strategies on how to help children are really valid, but they can't hurt. All teachers should read this, so they can better understand why some of their most intelligent students have a difficult time reading simple text.
