All in all, it was useful, but got repetitive at times. Had to skip some chapters because they didn't apply to me. I bought this book because I wanted to know how to fix my boundaries at work cause I'm always burned out due to overworking myself and having to deal with a narcissistic boss. Yet, only 16 pages were dedicated to this problem and the solutions were quite superficial. I know setting boundaries is a skill I'll need to learn myself, but I expected more from this book. Also, relaying on HR to solve my work problems isn't even an option, as they are the most toxic department at the whole organization.

I really enjoyed this book. it is well written and everything is put into layman's terms so anyone could understand and not have a doctorate to read. This book highlights what we all need most with ourselves, our friends and family, work, and anything else in our lives: boundaries. I read another boundary book before and it truly helped and this one helped me not only remember boundaries I still needed to implement but also reminded me to reinforce the ones I already have. Well done to the author! She is the real deal! Will definitely keep this book in my digital library to reference as needed.☺️👍

Nedra Glover Tawwab, a licensed therapist and sought-after relationship expert, has practiced relationship therapy for twelve years and is the founder and owner of the group therapy practice Kaleidoscope Counseling. She has been recently featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Psychology Today, Self, and Vice, and she has appeared on numerous podcasts, including Don't Keep Your Day Job, Do the Thing, and Therapy for Black Girls. Tawwab runs a popular Instagram account where she shares practices, tools, and reflections for mental health and hosts weekly Q&As about boundaries and relationships.
