How do people who have given reviews on hear no about strangways unless they themselves have spent time inside the cat A cab B jail or have been a screw working there , reality is only true if you no what your talking about. Personally anybody who can lock sombody up twenty-three hours aday & have all that power over another person is not a nice guy & most screws hide in the system like police as there criminals themselves. I wouldn't give him my money good read or not

Sam give an interesting account of what life is like working as a Prison Officer in a high security prison such as Stangeways, or HMP Manchester as the powers to be like it called now! There are lots of stories of both prisoners and Prison Officers, with some of those stories being quite funny.

A really great read, and l hope Neil writes more books, and he's honest and funny, this book makes you laugh and cry, lm looking forward to Neil's next book, please write another your so talented.
About the author
Neil Samworth worked as a prison officer at Forest Bank and then Strangeways between 2005 and 2016, when he left the service after being diagnosed with PTSD.
